Dusty Miller Short Dog Romp

Distance about one mile

Directions

Folllow the canal towpath past the basin end with the boatyard on your left. The boatyard was once a mill built much later than the Dusty Miller.

After the campsite on the right there is a splendid marshy field, home to many wild flowers, birds and rabbits!

Pass the counterweighted wooden drawbridge and leave the towpath before the next stone bridge and follow the footpath right over a stile and through a neatly mown sheep paddock (Remember those leads). In the next field climb the stile in the hedge on your right and head for St. Margaret's Church.

It is worth spending a little time in the churchyard with it's many interesting grave stones and gargoyles.

Exit the churchyard through the main gates, turn left for the village shop or right to return to the Dusty Miller along the pavement.

Please keep dogs on a lead on the road and near livestock.

Dogs may have to be lifted over some stiles

The Dusty Miller accepts no responsibility for loss or injury to persons or property!
